Karen Hoff Barron, SLP
Karen Hoff Barron is a Registered Speech-Language Pathologist who is passionate about empowering children through speech, language, and literacy. Over the years she has gained valuable experience working with children in a wide variety of settings including: school, home, preschool health, early education/Head Start, daycare, and community settings. Karen enjoys working closely with families to support the implementation of communication strategies in the home environment. She regularly collaborates with school teams and other professionals to improve outcomes for children and families. She also has knowledge and experience providing speech therapy services to First Nations children with funding approved through Jordan’s Principle.
Karin has pursued advanced training in areas including: early intervention, autism spectrum disorder, social communication, and severe speech disorders. She also has extensive training, interest, and experience working with children with complex communication needs (augmentative and alternative communication).
As a Certified Hanen Speech-Language Pathologist, Karen teaches a variety of parent-implemented early language intervention programs, in-person or via telepractice. She also provides workshops for early childhood educators/teachers both in-person and online.
